Nick inizia la sua carriera come solista, dal 1999 al 2005, con un suo album. Poi nel 2005 fonda un gruppo con i due fratelli più grandi. Inizialmente il Gruppo di chiamava Songs of Jonas, ma poi dopo un pessimo successo, nel 2006 si rinominano Jonas Brothers.
